Remembrance Day | BEDIN 11

11/11/2015

Today is remembrance day. It's a day where we respect the veterans that sacrificed their lives for our country. We wear poppy's over our heart, have a moment of silence and pray for peace and for the war to end. We show appreciation to the army officers for keeping our country safe and remember those who have lost their lives. We think about how thankful we are to have a home here in Canada and how much we shouldn't take this for granted. We think about how so many people don't live like us, some people don't have a home or food, and how hard it is to live in a country where there is no peace, only war. We thank the veterans for saving our country, by giving them a moment of silence.

We wear poppys because that is all that survived in Flander's fields over the graves of the fallen soldiers. I know this is Canadian but if you live in the U.S. or somewhere else in the world, let me know what you do.
